Winter Lights event to light up Downtown Urbana on Saturday

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The City of Urbana’s Arts & Culture Program is inviting the community to enjoy a magical winter evening this Saturday.

Winter Lights – A Stroll Through Downtown Urbana is an immersive light and art experience taking place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 20.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to stroll through Downtown Urbana and experience a series of engaging light installations and projection-based artworks featured throughout Main Street, Race Street, and Crane Alley. The event transforms familiar downtown spaces into a glowing winter landscape, offering a festive and family-friendly way to celebrate the season.

Attendees can also warm up with free hot cider and hot cocoa on the back patio of Gallery Art Bar while enjoying the atmosophere.

The event is sponsored by the City of Urbana’s Arts & Culture Program, in collaboration with Immersion Fest, and reflects Urbana’s ongoing commitment to supporting public art, creativity, and downtown vitality.

The event is free and open to the public.
