Virginia Theatre to hold CU Ballet’s The Little Mermaid

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Virginia Theatre is set to host three ballet shows of The Little Mermaid, promising a magical performance for the whole family.

The show, by Champaign Urbana Ballet, is will have three different showtimes running from May 1 to May 3. The showtimes are as follows:

  • Friday, May 1, 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 2, 2:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 3, 6:00 p.m.

Doors Open: 40 minutes prior to showtime

Champaign Urbana Ballet is one of the foremost pre-professional dance companies in Illinois, showcasing talent that represents the most promising young performers in the area. It collaborates with local choreographers, lighting/production and costume designers, musicians, and performance venues to produce diverse productions ranging from classical ballets to original works. Through its expanding outreach programs, CU Ballet exposes children and families to the history and beauty of ballet.
