CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Firefighters responded to a fire at a single-story home in the 800 block of W Vine Street Friday morning, quickly bringing the flames under control.

The Champaign Fire Department said the fire, reported by a passerby around 11:52 a.m., was located at the front porch of the residence. Crews used a single hose line to extinguish the flames, and no one was injured during the incident.

Investigators remain on the scene to determine the cause of the fire. The home’s occupants were not present at the time, and they will not be displaced as a result of the damage.

Champaign Fire Department officials said there were no firefighter injuries reported.
