SHILOH, IL (Chambana Today) — The Shiloh School District is hosting a community fundraiser on March 22 to support prom costs for the class of 2028.

The event will take place in the school gym, which opens at 3 p.m., with games beginning at 4 p.m. Admission is $10 in advance or $15 at the door, with cash-only payments accepted.

The fundraiser will feature a series of basketball matchups, including the Brokton Fire Department facing off against Philo alumni, and the class of 2028 teachers taking on the Newman Fire Department. Winners of each game will advance to a final championship round.

In addition to the games, attendees can purchase concessions including pulled pork nachos and pulled pork with baked potatoes.

Organizers say the fundraiser is part of early efforts to cover prom expenses, noting that the class must begin fundraising a full year in advance.

More information about the event can be found on the district’s Facebook page and official website.
