CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Parkland College is growing its popular youth enrichment series with the launch of College for Kids: Spring Edition in 2026, Community Education announced this week. The expansion builds on recent success from new fall offerings and is designed to give students ages 6–15 more opportunities to learn and explore throughout the year.

“Families told us how much they loved having CFK opportunities outside the summer months,” said Kathy Buyze, youth program manager. “Our Fall Edition launch was very strong, and we’re excited to keep that energy going with even more classes for students to explore this spring.”

The Spring Edition lineup features a mix of returning favorites and new creative courses, including Pet Safety and First Aid Basics, Chef’s Challenge: 3-Course Creations, Paint and Create: Axolotl Friend, and Word Play: Poetry in Pictures. Several CFK: Spring Break programs will also be offered.

Classes begin Saturday, Jan. 17, with the first three sessions—Chef’s Challenge, Beginning Alcohol Art, and Pet Safety and First Aid Basics.
