CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) – The Illinois football team’s upcoming game against Washington on Saturday, October 25, will be subject to a six-day selection, the Big Ten Conference and television partners announced earlier this week. The official kickoff time and broadcast network will be finalized after the results of games on Saturday, October 18.

Illinois (5-2, 2-2 Big Ten) is set to face Washington (5-1, 2-1 Big Ten) in what will be the 12th meeting between the two schools. However, this will be the first time the teams meet as Big Ten opponents. Washington has won the last four matchups in the series, including a victory in Illinois’ last trip to Seattle in 2014.

The Fighting Illini have a bye this weekend, while Washington will face Michigan on Saturday, October 18, at 11 a.m. CT on FOX.

The six-day selection process also affects several other high-profile matchups across the conference, including games between Wisconsin and Oregon, Michigan and Michigan State, and Northwestern and Nebraska. The Big Ten games set for October 25 include:

  • Wisconsin at Oregon – 3:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. ET (Network TBD)

  • Illinois at Washington – 3:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. ET (Network TBD)

  • UCLA at Indiana – Time and Network TBD

  • Michigan at Michigan State – Time and Network TBD

  • Northwestern at Nebraska – Time and Network TBD

  • Minnesota at Iowa – 12 p.m. ET or 3:30 p.m. ET (Network TBD)

Fans will have to wait until the weekend of October 18 to know the precise time for Illinois challenges Washington.
