CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — After heavy snowfall and cold temperatures forced yard waste collection services to be delayed last week, Champaign’s Public Works Operations Division is set to complete collection next week.

The operations were postponed due to snow and ice operation, and will now take place on Monday, December 22, weather permitting.

Residents living in the Orange 4 and Orange 5 zones should ensure their yard waste is placed within 10 feet of the curb by 6 a.m. on Monday. Yard waste should be properly bagged or bundled and set away from obstacles.

Collection has been completed in all Blue and Orange 1, 2, and 3, yard waste zones.  Residents in those zones may take materials to the Landscape Recycling Center in Urbana for a small fee.

To find your collection zone, visit champaignil.gov/yardwaste and click on the Yard Waste collection map and enter your address. Collection is available to all residential properties within City limits.
