DANVILLE, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The Danville Fire Department is asking residents to join a new program that will help them serve the citizens of Danville in case of emergency. The program only asks community members to share information concerning where they live, family members living with them, pets in the home and any special needs of household members to help the department be aware of how they can serve people during an emergency situation.
All information is secured and used only for the purpose of being prepared to help when needed. “We are inviting every member of the Danville community to take part in strengthening our shared safety by joining our new, free, Community Connect Program. With just a few simple steps, you can help us be more effective when seconds count,” said Chief Aaron Marcott.
The Department designed this program to further offer residents more options to help them as they exist in protecting life, property and the wellbeing of the community through unwavering commitment, skillful service, and relentless integrity.
“You are not just the people that we serve, you are the reason we exist,” Marcott added. “We will treat your emergencies like our own. We will show up with compassion, competence and courage. Step 2: Enter the info that matters most and that helps the department respond more effectively in an emergency.
