City of Champaign to begin yard waste collection December 8

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The City of Champaign Public Works Department will begin picking up yard waste on Monday, December 8, 2025, for both Blue and Orange Collection Zones, weather permitting.

Residents should place yard waste bags near the curb before 6 a.m. on Monday. Crews will start collection that day and continue working through the city until all bags have been picked up.

To find your collection zone, visit champaignil.gov/yard-waste, click on the Yard Waste Collection Map, and enter your address. Collection is available to all residential properties within city limits.
