CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Our Crimestoppers Booking Report is back this week. Once again, it does not return in full due to data being missing from the Champaign County Sheriff’s Department’s

Chambana Today is still working to obtain a statement from the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office on why data is missing.

Here’s a look at this week’s partial report:

Wednesday, September 3: No data provided

Thursday, September 4: No data provided

Due to a lack of data this week, we will once again look to provide you with a guide on accessing the public documents that we use to create our weekly booking reports.

Your first step will be to navigate to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office’s website. Start by heading to champaigncountyil.gov and clicking on the “Find A Department” tab. On the left side, click on “Sheriff’s Office and Adult Detention”. From there, go to “Public Documents” on the left side to access all of the documents made available to you by the sheriff’s office.

To create our weekly Booking Report, we use documents provided in the “Archived Daily Reports” pulldown, which typically provides the following three documents per day:

  • Division of Corrections Daily Report
  • Inmate Bookings Report
  • Hearings Report

As you may have guessed, we use the Inmate Bookings Report to create our weekly booking reports.
